ABOUT RAINING WILDFLOWERS

Raining Wildflowers LLC crafts exceptional natural and organic products specifically for enjoyment and transparency so you know exactly what is in every product you use. They are made-to-order in small-batches to maintain the highest quality...whether for skincare, teas, or sprays that help keep mosquitoes at bay...without the chemicals you don’t want to be taking into your body.

Where did it all begin?

Raining Wildflowers started when its creator, Denise Hagan, got curious about exactly what she was putting on her skin and into her body.

We’re guessing you probably care about that, too.

The toe-in-the-water of that initial curiosity led to a deep dive researching the benefits of plants and how to use them, including completing Rosemary Gladstar’s acclaimed program The Science and Art of Herbalism. Part of the training required proficiency in making a variety of herbal products from scratch starting with the living plants themselves.

The exceptionally positive reactions Denise got from friends excited about trying them let her know she was on the right path. And she felt compelled to share this passion with others.

But we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Even before all that—and well before Raining Wildflowers became a reality—a reality of another kind came into existence. And it wasn’t good. Read the full story below.....

Grief’s Journey

Denise’s beloved husband died.

Searching for a way to endure her grief, she turned to plants. Denise knew there had to be something out there in the natural world that would help her get through this horrible time without deadening her senses to the emotions, emotions that must be acknowledged and could not be ignored. A tea seemed like a reasonable approach.

But it couldn’t be just any tea formula.

First, it could NOT taste like medicine

Second, it had to be uplifting without causing loopiness

Third, it had to taste good

After months of experimentation and testing, Denise found the ideal mix that made her feel better and tasted delightful without impairing her judgment. That formula became Joyful Tea™.

Seed Planted

At one point a garden party friend confided, “If you ever decide to sell this, I’ll buy it.” With that comment, a seed was planted.

Now, there are 3 refreshing tea varieties, each with its unique flavor and beneficial properties. They are Joyful Tea™, Sunshine in a Cup™ Tea, and Spring Green Bouquet™.

Grease Barrier vs. Hydrating

Up next in her journey was an experiment to create an all natural face and body cream. So many products feel good but actually block the skin from absorbing moisture because the fat molecules are too big to be absorbed.

This creation had to be moisturizing to leave skin feeling hydrated instead of greasy. And it had to avoid the synthetic chemical ingredients that are so common in beauty creams sold on the market today. The end result became the lovely line of Bliss Face & Body Cream™. A small amount goes a long way.

Reducing Trash

At the same time, a local community had stopped its glass recycling program. Denise and her garden club friends came to the rescue, saving all manner of glass jars from the trash heap. That’s why every jar of Bliss Face & Body Cream™  is lovingly packaged in recycled glass containers.

And best of all, there are no mystery ingredients hidden from you...and no artificial colors or fragrances. Small batches ensure you have the freshest creation possible for radiant, healthy skin. Elevate your self-care routine and experience the difference of fresh, luxurious, and natural skincare. Want to know a secret? Because it’s so good for the skin, Denise’s massage therapist uses it instead of oils.

Currently, there are 3 varieties: Lavender Bliss Face & Body Cream™, Vanilla Bliss Face & Body Cream™, and Bliss Unscented Face & Body Cream™.

Because Bliss Face & Body CreamTM  doesn’t have any artificial chemical stabilizers, it may separate over time. (Think salad dressing.) If that happens, just stir is up. It’s perfectly good to use.

Goodbye Citronella and Other Bad Actors

Bye Bye Bugs™ Spray was invented out of personal necessity when a favorite insect repellent on the market started adding citronella, which Denise can’t stand as well as—well, let’s just leave it at “unsavory ingredients.” Donning her herbalist hat once again, Denise wildcrafted plants with insect repelling properties and formulated Raining Wildflowers’ own brand of insect repellent.

It has the faintest aroma of peppermint and feels cooling on the skin. And since it doesn’t contain DEET, it can be used directly on the skin.

Flower Waters aka Hydrosols

The most recent addition to the Raining Wildflowers offerings is Hydrosol sprays. Hydrosols are great to use as natural air fresheners, linen sprays, and facial misters.

Often called “flower waters,” hydrosols are created by distilling plants. Raining Wildflowers focuses on using plants that Denise grows in her own garden to derive the purest and freshest of single plant scents.

The benefit of hydrosols is that they contain both the plant essential oils as well as the water soluble essences that are missing from essential oils. Because of the addition of the water soluble essences, hydrosols are considered safer than essential oils to use directly on the skin.

Current offerings are Lemongrass Hydrosol spray and Tulsi (also know as Holy Basil) Hydrosol spray.
